LET ME INTRODUCE MYSELF
Hey, I’m Emily! When I was 24 years-old, I developed and launched a cosmetics brand with a couple hundred bucks — over the course of a decade, I bootstrapped it into a multi-million dollar business stocked around the world!
After countless highs and lows, tears and celebrations, by some miracle I sold my first business and joined the small ranks of entrepreneurs to take a successful exit. How the hell did it all happen?
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
My absolute passion in life is creating things that people love and feel good about being a part of — design through sincerity, if you will. Over the past 15 years, I’ve become an expert at dreaming-up creative solutions to eCommerce growth challenges, as well as developing uniquely engaging products in typically over-saturated industries.
In 2015, after various stints in Los Angeles, Portland, OR and even a brief period in San Francisco, I found myself back in my beautiful hometown, Riverside, CA!
Since exiting my first business Concrete Minerals in 2019, I’ve been hard at work gearing-up to launch my second brand, this time in the personal care and health/wellness spaces! EXOH features uniquely-scented products designed to improve your mood, with a heavy emphasis on sustainable packaging and an ethical approach to our impact on the environment.
But it wasn’t a straight line to sorting out what it was that I thrived at. In fact, I started off in the music industry…

FUN EMILY FACTS
I write with my left hand, but do everything else with my right hand. I also hold my pen super weird! You’ll have to see it sometime, I’m sure it’ll make you laugh.
I’ve been following a keto diet for several years -- it helped me lose over 40 pounds! After being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, my neurologist recommended I look into the diet, and it changed my life. I’m a big advocate for clean eating, and I love sharing recipes and info about the diet with anyone interested!
Some of my biggest inspirations in life and business are Walt Disney, Dolly Parton, Barack Obama, Kobe Bryant and Gene Roddenberry (speaking of which…)
I’m really into Star Trek (starting with TNG!) -- my friends joke that I’ll eventually steer most conversations into something about Star Trek. They’re not wrong.
I’m a HUGE Lakers fan. Because I’m 6’ tall, everyone assumes I played basketball, and I did — for one year in high school, and it was NOT for me, lol! But I watch and follow the NBA closely, and I’m usually the loudest one cheering!
On the weekends, you can find me hiking a new spot in Southern California, or hosting a party for friends (aka, coming up with any excuse to build a charcuterie board!)
